According to designer Jamie Gold, and Kitchen & Bath Design News; the classic look of white with it’s light and airy feel gives an unique ability to work with virtually any design style. White has long been the color of choice for designers, builders, and homeowners alike. Benjamin Moore even named their paint color called Simply White as its 2016 color of the year. White rooms make it easy to simplify and cut out the clutter.
White also seems to be the favorite for kitchen cabinets. Upscale stainless steel appliance products have also flooded the scene. The iPhone may have helped these sleek looks in contemporary kitchens with smooth lines and lots of glass.
Off tone white cabinets with slight hints of gray and khaki are also popular. Textures were also very big in 2015 and are very likely to carry out through 2016. New dimensions of mixing textures have shifted the high gloss finish to a new matte look. Mixing colors such as gray and white are merging out there as well. Additional colors are showing up in backsplashes, wall paint and accent cabinets.
Hanson Construction and Specialty Cabinets actually specializes in all of these new trends.
